HOW IT WORKS
Make any image
semi-transparent.
Three steps to change image opacity
- Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP image, or paste a screenshot.
- Move the opacity slider or select a 25%, 50%, or 75% preset.
- Export PNG or WebP to preserve the transparent pixels.
Opacity versus transparency
ImageFader uses opacity because the scale is unambiguous: 100% is fully visible, 50% is semi-transparent, and 0% is invisible.
When should I use overall opacity?
It works well for presentation backgrounds, quiet poster images, light watermarks, logos, and layered compositions. Use a gradient when only one side should disappear.
